What we can do
Denim knees and crotch areas
A patch can support denim that’s worn thin. We look beyond the hole itself, so the patch is attached to fabric that’s still strong.
Elbows and other wear points
Fabric or leather elbow patches, and reinforcement anywhere that rubs. We’ll choose a patch material that suits the garment.
Discreet or decorative
Want it to blend in or stand out? Both work. Colour, weave and existing wear mean an exact match isn’t always possible, so we’ll show you the options.
Supplied patches and badges
Bring the badges or decorative patches you want attached, and show us where they go. We sew on patches you supply; we don’t do embroidery or make custom patches.
How much does it cost?
The size of the patch, the material, where it goes, the condition of the fabric and how much reinforcement it needs all affect the price.
| Alteration | Indicative price |
|---|---|
| Patch a trouser holePer repair; larger worn areas or several holes may cost more. | $15–$50 |
| Patch a jeans holeSize, position and condition of the surrounding denim affect the quote. | $25–$50 |
These are guides for the named alteration on one garment, not fixed quotes or maximum prices. Listed extras are added to the guide price and can be combined. Fabric, finish, construction and any other extra work can change the price, so we’ll always check your garment and confirm the quote before we start. Express surcharges are extra.

Strengthen the worn spot, choose the look
A small hole or a bigger worn area
The hole is only part of the story. We check how much of the fabric around it needs support and where the garment takes the most strain. Jeans tend to wear through at the knees, seat or crotch, while pockets and elbows have their own weak spots. Several holes, or wear on both sides, may need more than one repair and cost more than a single small patch.
Subtle repairs and statement patches
Tell us whether you want the patch to blend in or stand out. The colour, weight and texture of the fabric and where the stitching goes all change the look. Bring your own patch or some matching fabric if you have it, and we’ll check it suits the garment. Sewing on a decorative badge is a different job from reinforcing worn fabric, so tell us the result you’re after.
Your questions
Can you patch jumpers, shirts and jackets?
Yes. We repair holes and tears in jumpers and knitwear, shirts, dresses and jackets, including worn elbows, underarms and linings. The fabric and where the damage is decide how we patch it.
Can I bring my own patch?
Of course! Bring the patch and the garment, and show us where and which way up it goes. We’ll check the material, the spot and any nearby pockets or seams, and agree the best way to attach it.
Can you patch the crotch of jeans?
Yes. Bring them in and we’ll check how far the wear goes. The repair often needs to cover more than the hole itself, and how much it shows depends on the denim and stitching.
Is the price guide for every hole?
The guide is for one repair of the type listed. Bigger areas, several holes or work on both sides can cost more, and we’ll confirm the full job before giving you a price.
Will a patch feel stiff?
A patch adds an extra layer, so the area can feel a little firmer at first. We choose a patch fabric and weight to suit the garment, so it stays comfortable to wear.
How long will the work take, and is express available?
Most simple jobs are ready in 3–5 days, and more complex work in 1–2 weeks. In a rush? Express options are available for an extra fee. Just tell us your deadline. Express rates are 30% for same-day, 20% for next-day and 10% for two-day work, or 40% for same-day and 30% for next-day on Saturdays. Express depends on how busy we are, so we’ll confirm it and your pickup time before we start.
